Rittmeister and Bürger in Ziegenhain, Hesse-Kassel. Surviving branches of this
family have been documented across Germany and America.
We also welcome descendants of Melchior's cousin, Johann Eberhardt von
Schantz (1614-1665), secretary to King Carl X Gustav of Sweden.
Surviving branches of this family have been documented across Scandinavia and
North America.
